2 dead bodies found inside car in South Loop
Chicago Police on Saturday were investigating the deaths of two people found inside a car in the South Loop neighborhood.
Shortly after 3:15 p.m. Friday, police responded to the vehicle parked on the street at 565 W. 16th St. after neighbors complained of a foul odor coming from the car, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Henry.
Inside, officers found the bodies of a man and a woman, both apparently in their 40s, Henry said. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither police or the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office had identified the bodies as of Saturday morning. An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The circumstances of their deaths were unknown, Henry said.
