Project: Crafting a Luxurious Online Presence for Wristwatch Concierge
This project involved collaborating closely with the client, the founder of Wristwatch Concierge, to design and develop a website that reflected the prestige and personalized service his business offers. The initial design concept was well-received, and we iterated on it based on Scott’s feedback, focusing on the hero image, mobile responsiveness, and overall aesthetic.
We tackled technical aspects like SEO optimization and domain management, ensuring the website would be discoverable and functional. We also discussed ongoing maintenance and updates, providing the client with the tools and knowledge to manage the site’s content effectively.
Throughout the project, clear communication and a collaborative spirit were key. We navigated challenges like integrating the logo seamlessly into the hero image and ensuring the mobile experience was intuitive. By the project’s end, we had successfully launched a website that captured the essence of Wristwatch Concierge, paving the way for the client to connect with and assist discerning watch enthusiasts in their buying journey.
Mobile Responsive Design
- Hero Image: The mobile version has a different hero image than the desktop version. This is due to the different aspect ratios of mobile screens compared to desktop monitors.
- Responsiveness: The mobile version of the site is designed to be responsive and adapt to the smaller screen size of mobile devices.
- Side Photos: The side photos are still present on the mobile version, but they are displayed smaller or in a different layout.
Overall, the mobile version of the site is focused on providing a user-friendly experience on smaller screens. The layout and content may be adjusted, but the key elements of the site, such as the hero image and side photos, are still present.
Overall Homepage Design
- The homepage uses a predominantly white background, creating a clean and elegant look.
- There’s a focus on high-quality images, particularly in the hero section and the gallery.
Hero Section
- The hero image is a photo of a concierge desk with a superimposed “WC” logo.
- The logo initially had a bright white background, but it was adjusted to blend more seamlessly with the photo.
- The hero image extends further down the page than initially designed, removing the watches and “Browse Gallery” link.
- A “Schedule a Consultation” link is prominently displayed.
- Two watch photos are placed beneath the “Schedule a Consultation” link, in columns titled “Why Choose Wristwatch Concierge” and “Our Approach.”
Other Sections
- A gallery page showcases watch photos with descriptions.
- A disclaimer is included at the bottom of the page, visible at all times.
