Web Designer Intern
Updating and maintenance on multiple websites
The position is available in our downtown Elmhurst, Illinois office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing code as well as design, images and site content; handling errors, bug reports, enhancements and modifications. This person will also work closely with the product development and marketing teams to ensure that the web site and associated systems are efficiently and effectively working toward furthering the mission of the company. We are seeking a well organized person to coordinate web functions, monitor web activities, and incorporate new technologies in the pursuit of continual improvement to all web properties. Someone who can handle fast-pace change and meet multiple deadlines is ideal.
Responsibilities also include support of the existing office intranet, and exploring alternative solutions for solving business problems. This position works with other members of the project team to develop site content, interface design, and architecture websites.
The position requires experience in web design, experience with a variety of different web coding languages, knowledge/familiarity with administration of web server software (Apache preferred) We require applicants with a solid grasp of usability, and web user interface concepts, web reporting and analysis experience or equivalent, working knowledge of web content management systems. Candidates will should be adept at handling rapidly changing priorities, have excellent written and oral communication skills, a keen sense for details, and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization within a diverse environment.
