What is a Website Performance Audit?
Most business owners have never looked at the two free tools Google keeps on their website — Search Console (how people find you in search) and Analytics (what they do once they arrive). The ones who have usually walked away with the wrong conclusion, because the numbers are easy to misread. You can rank #1 on Google and still get almost no clicks. You can celebrate “thousands of visitors” that are 90% bots. You can be getting leads and have no idea which pages produce them.
This audit cuts through all of that. I review your website the same way I reviewed my own (you can read that story on the blog), and give you a clear, honest picture of what your site is really doing — and what to do about it.
What I’ll do
- Review your Google Search Console — what you actually rank for, where you’re losing clicks, and the fastest opportunities to climb.
- Audit and clean up your Google Analytics — filter out bot and data-center traffic so you see your real numbers, not vanity metrics.
- Set up proper conversion tracking — so every form submission, call, and lead is measured going forward (most small-business sites don’t have this, or track the wrong thing).
- Check your Google Business Profile & local visibility — the “map pack” and review factors that drive local clicks for Chicago businesses.
- Review your top pages — whether your most important services have the focused pages they need to rank.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to already have Google Analytics or Search Console set up? No. If you don’t have them, I’ll set them up as part of the audit. If you do, I’ll connect to what you have.
Is this a one-time service or ongoing? This is a one-time audit. If you’d like ongoing monitoring or want me to implement the fixes, just ask — we can set that up separately.
Will you fix the problems you find? The audit tells you what to fix and how to prioritize it. Implementation (new pages, local SEO work, site changes) can be added on — many clients start with the audit, then have me do the work.
I’m not in Chicago. Can you still help? Yes. The local-visibility piece is tuned for Chicago businesses, but the Search Console, Analytics, and conversion-tracking work applies to any business anywhere.
