Many website maintenance plans click “update” and hope. Most websites with no plan at all slowly break: a plugin update takes down a form, an old page starts throwing errors, images go missing after a move, and nobody notices until a customer says something.

Site Care is maintenance that actually looks at your site, every month.

What happens every month

  1. A fresh copy of your site is pulled so nothing is tested on the live site.
  2. WordPress, theme and plugin updates are tested on the copy and on a staging site, then applied to the live site only when they pass.
  3. Every page is crawled for errors, broken links, missing images and redirects that go nowhere.
  4. Forms and lead paths are checked, because a contact form that silently stopped working is the most expensive bug a small business can have.
  5. Security exposure is checked: outdated software, files that should not be public, user information that should not be listed.
  6. Backups are verified, not assumed.
  7. You get a plain-English report: what was updated, what was found, what was fixed, and what needs a decision from you.

What is routine and what needs your OK

Routine, included in the plan: tested WordPress, theme and plugin updates, the monthly checks above, and fixing what an update or a check shows is broken.

Only with your approval: anything that changes what your visitors see (wording, design, new pages), new plugins or features, and any work that would be quoted separately. You get the details and, where it applies, a fixed price before I start.

How the work is kept safe
