The client
The Wristwatch Concierge is an independent watch-buying advisor in Chicago. Scott, the founder, helps collectors find, evaluate, and buy the right watch.
The problem
A new personal-service business with no brand yet. The site had to look as considered as the watches its clients buy, explain a service people may not know exists, and turn that interest into a consultation.
What I delivered
- The logo, from first concepts to the final version used on the website and business cards.
- Website design and build in WordPress, including a watch gallery.
- Search setup and domain management.
- A handover, so Scott can update the content himself.
Key decisions
- A logo tested in context. Several concepts, then refinements with Scott, then a check of the logo next to the site’s type so both read as one brand.
- The consultation comes first. The hero carries the logo over a concierge-desk photo and one clear “Schedule a Consultation” link; the logo’s background was adjusted to sit inside the photo.
- A separate hero for phones. Phone screens are tall and narrow, so the mobile hero uses its own crop instead of a squeezed desktop image.
- Trust details kept visible. A clean white layout, a gallery with descriptions, and the disclaimer shown on every page.

Where it stands
The site launched in December 2024 and is Scott’s storefront today.
